Opp Works LLC ("Opp Works," "we," "us," or "our") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect information when you use our websites, contact our support team, or use Opp Works software, including Opp Works PC Insight.

This policy applies to information handled by Opp Works through our websites, licensing and trial systems, customer support processes, and PC Insight software.

2. Information We May Collect

Website and contact information

When you visit our website, contact us, request support, or submit information to us, we may collect:

• Name, email address, telephone number, and other contact information you provide.
• Messages, support requests, and information you choose to send us.
• Basic website usage, browser, device, and network information typically provided by web servers or analytics tools.

PC Insight licensing and trial information

PC Insight uses a device-associated identifier to help manage software licensing, trial eligibility, device activation, and support. This identifier is generated from device-related information and is transformed before it is used by Opp Works.

PC Insight may also create a shortened Support ID, such as PCI-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX, that you can provide to Opp Works support so we can locate relevant licensing or trial information. The Support ID is not a password, is not an authentication credential, and does not by itself grant access to your account or software.

License and entitlement information

We may process information such as:

• License or entitlement identifiers.
• Product and partner identifiers.
• License status, expiration, device limits, and activation status.
• Trial start date, trial expiration, scans used, and scans remaining.
• Administrative actions such as suspension, revocation, restoration, or courtesy scan grants.

Diagnostic information generated on your PC

PC Insight performs a scan-only diagnostic review of supported system indicators. Depending on the scan, this may include information about Windows system status, storage, startup items, installed programs, browser extensions, and related diagnostic indicators.

PC Insight generates diagnostic reports locally on your computer. Under normal operation, those reports are stored on your PC and are not automatically uploaded to Opp Works as part of the diagnostic scan.

Optional Microsoft Defender Quick Scan

PC Insight may offer an optional Microsoft Defender Quick Scan. This action is requested only after you approve it. Microsoft Defender performs the scan through Windows. Opp Works PC Insight does not independently remove threats or perform antivirus remediation.

3. How We Use Information

We may use information to:

• Provide, activate, validate, and support Opp Works software.
• Manage PC Insight trials, licenses, entitlements, and device activations.
• Prevent unauthorized or duplicate trial use.
• Respond to support requests and identify the correct device, license, or entitlement.
• Operate, maintain, troubleshoot, and improve our products and services.
• Maintain security, detect misuse, and enforce applicable terms.
• Comply with legal, regulatory, accounting, or security obligations.

4. PC Insight Trial and Licensing Communications

The Microsoft Store edition of PC Insight may communicate over the internet with Opp Works licensing services to start or recover a trial, authorize trial scans, validate a paid license, refresh entitlement status, and support device activation.

The current PC Insight trial may be limited by completed scans, elapsed time, or both. Uninstalling and reinstalling the software does not necessarily reset trial status because trial eligibility may be associated with the device.

5. Information Stored on Your Device

PC Insight may store local application information such as:

• Licensing and activation information.
• Trial status or cached entitlement information.
• Application settings and appearance preferences.
• Locally generated diagnostic reports.

Some licensing information may be protected using Windows security features. Local diagnostic reports remain under the user's control on the device unless the user chooses to share them.

We do not sell personal information.

We may share information with service providers or infrastructure providers that help us operate our website, licensing systems, support systems, payment systems, hosting, email, or other business services. These providers may process information only as necessary to provide services to Opp Works and are subject to their own contractual and legal obligations.

We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect rights or safety, to investigate fraud or misuse, or as part of a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of business assets.

7. Payments and Purchases

Opp Works may use third-party payment processors for software or service purchases. Payment card information may be collected and processed directly by the payment provider rather than Opp Works. Opp Works may receive transaction-related information such as purchase status, product, amount, and customer identifiers needed to fulfill and support the purchase.

PC Insight may be distributed through Microsoft Store while licensing or payment for certain Opp Works products or services may be managed separately by Opp Works or an approved payment provider.

8. Data Retention

We retain information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this policy, including licensing, trial enforcement, support, security, accounting, legal compliance, and dispute resolution.

Retention periods may vary depending on the type of information and our legal or operational requirements. Local files on your computer remain on your device until you or the operating system removes them.

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction.

No internet transmission, storage system, or security measure can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

10. Your Choices and Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights relating to your personal information, such as requesting access, correction, deletion, or information about how your information is used.

You may contact us using the information below to make a privacy request. We may need to verify your identity before fulfilling certain requests.

Some licensing, security, transaction, or legal records may need to be retained even after a deletion request where permitted or required by law.

Opp Works products and services are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
